Jerusalem is located in the center of Palestine, east of the Mediterranean Sea, in the foothills of a small east-to-west mountain range.  It lies 750 meters above the Mediterranean Sea and 1150 meters above the surface of the Dead Sea, located on the 31°52’ North, 35°13’ East. The city is located 52 km from the Mediterranean Sea, 22 km from the Dead Sea, 250 km from the Red Sea, 88 km from Amman, 388 km from Beirut, and 290 km from Damascus.
